British Artist – Graham Pellow – has had a passion for drawing and painting since childhood.  He works in most mediums – oil, acrylic, watercolour, mixed media, pastels, ink & wash and gouache.  All mediums have advantages and disadvantages, the scene often dictating the choice to be used.

Whilst travelling the world Graham loves to record the trips using sketchbooks.  He now has an extensive collection, often using these sketches to work up larger paintings.  These are visual diaries and have become his prized possessions.

Creating paintings with atmosphere is always Graham’s ambition, capturing fleeting moments of light, often early in the morning or late evening, calling them “scenic valium” for their calming effect.

Graham taught painting for 20 years, students ranging from children to octogenarians, extolling the values that a lifetime interest in art can bring.

He exhibited in America for 4 years and completed many commissions of local Kentucky scenes and horse-racing subjects.

Having recently moved to Leighton Buzzard he is exploring the rich local landscape for artistic inspiration.  Many local scenes are shown in his work.

Graham demonstrates to local Art Societies in a range of mediums and is proud to be a member of Leighton Buzzard Art Society.  He completes  commissions in a range of subjects, enjoying the process of developing a client’s brief to a successful painting. He exhibits at Mentmore Arts Festival, Bucks Open Studios and Leighton Buzzard Art Society exhibitions.
